The QLaw Foundation's third annual FallTacular, held Thursday, October 16, 2008, was a great success! Thank you to all who attended, sponsored and organized this important event.  More than a hundred members and supporters of the GLBT Bar Association of Washington and the QLaw Foundation came together at the Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle, Washington for a fabulous evening of food, drink, art, entertainment and common purpose.
    
The event raised over $7,500 to support the law student Public Interest Summer Grant program and other QLaw Foundation activities, including the beginnings of a new LGBTQ legal clinic.  The crowd heard from Sarah White, a student at the University of Washington School of Law, whose work at the Northwest Women's Law Center last summer was made possible by a QLaw Foundation Grant.  Sensible Shoes, an ensemble of the Seattle Women's Chorus, entertained the crowd with a sonorous set of melodies, including a witty take on lesbian dating patterns that proved popular with the family law lawyers in attendance.  QLaw Foundation President Beth Barrett Bloom closed the evening's program with a call for volunteers and donations to support the Foundation's mission as a bridge between the legal profession and LGBT community.
